![]() ![]() I focus Maat’s production on buildings for the time being. In the process, I’ll pick up a bunch of generally- and situationally-useful spells, like Desecration and Scorched Earth. ![]() ![]() What’s the point of building powerhouse killers if they have to take a breather after every fight? It’s not currently in my available research options, though, so I start going through other low-hanging fruit to try to clear a space for it. It’ll stack with Vampiric Hunger to give units Greater Lifestealing. What I really need right now is Embrace Darkness, which gives a city’s produced units Life Stealing. I can research Dread Reapers right now, but it’ll take like ten turns and there’s other stuff I need more immediately (this is totally the train of thought that led me to not getting Eternal City, if you’ve been following along ). One especially good strategy to harass is fire elementals and other fire resistant units and a casting of destabilised mana core.I’m also keeping an eye on Sage - the two bonus spells are sometimes really good, and whoever gets it first is likely to get the Paragon unit as well. Either you succeed and you can raze its cities, which will hamper its production and allow you to go forth, or they'll die, but they will have diverted forces from the main front. If you can prevent it from taking over your empire, you should probably make a fast army of knights or gryphon riders to go around and harass its cities. Warlord is the hardest enemy to fight an all out war like that in the end game. If you don't have enough cities, it will be very, very hard. It'll be hard if you can even win actually. Fire elementals can be used to replace your loses while in enemy territory.īut if the enemy already is mass producing manticores, it will be hard. Engineers are too weak at this point to be on the front line, so you should have dreadnought heroes instead. So juggernought, flame throwers and fire elementals should be your best bet. ![]() On the tactical side, there's only one advantage you can leverage : elemental damage. ![]()
